HORECA welcomes once again the people of hospitality

The exhibition that changed the standards for the Hotel and Catering Sector in Greece, made a dynamic comeback in a Covid-free environment. The first day started with enthusiasm and optimism.

HORECA has been welcoming since early in the morning, at the Metropolitan Expo, a great number of professionals from hotel, restaurants, cafés and bars. The most anticipated exhibition event will mark, with its dynamic comeback, a new era for the hospitality sector.

Professionals from Hotels, Restaurants and Cafeterias have the opportunity to get in touch with the entire supply chain, leading companies with hotel and restaurant equipment, technological solutions and online services, as well as companies that specialize in construction, renovation and energy saving. And all this in a Covid-free and safe environment. The halls are already filled with people, and appointments between visitors and exhibitors have started. Innovative solutions and products are showcased in the booths of the 500 exhibitors, giving the opportunity to visitors to modernize, equip or renovate their businesses, and offer upgraded products and services to their customers.

The official grand opening of the exhibition shall be held at 14:00 by the Minister of Development & Investments, Adonis Georgiadis, in the attendance of many representatives from our political scene.

New techniques, innovative solutions, and original ideas shall dominate the special events.

The 16th HORECA, in addition to the cutting-edge exhibits and proposals, solutions and ideas, offered by the 500 exhibitors, includes many simultaneous events that aim to inform, as well as provide solutions to the needs of the modern hoteliers and professionals in cafés and restaurants.

HORECA hosts in Hall 1, the Beer & Spirits Show, the leading event in the field of bartending, as well as the Panhellenic Competitions of the Bartenders Association of Greece. The professional visitors of the exhibition, who will attend today’s presentations, will have the opportunity to be informed, among other things, about the different aspects of all day cafés, the use of Greek spirits in cocktails and the “Dos and Don’ts” of creating cocktails. The stage of the Coffee Events in Hall 1 hosts the Panhellenic Championships of SCA Greece and the battle starts today with the semifinals in the Greek Barista category. The detailed schedule may be seen here.

At Hall 3, at the Business Lab, all new developments in the spectrum of the HORECA sector are presented, along with all modern trends and best practices in the post-Covid era. Ten speeches will be given from 12:00 to 18:00 in the three major thematic sections (Hotels, Restaurants, Café-Bars). The detailed schedule may be seen here.

At Hall 4 during the Gastronomy Forum, under the auspices of the Greek Chefs Club, renowned Greek chefs through special masterclasses and interesting presentations, will highlight sustainable gastronomy and its importance in upgrading the tourist product, as well as ways it can be adopted in the Greek cuisine.
