HORECA welcomes decision makers from every corner of Greece

The mega exhibition event for Hotels & Catering opened its gates today and the attendance is impressive. We are waiting you!  

HORECA 2024 has been welcoming since early in the morning, at the Metropolitan Expo, a great number of professionals from hotel, restaurants, cafés and bars. The most anticipated exhibition event will once again be the premier trade meeting for Tourism and Catering professionals.  

Decision makers from Hotels, Restaurants and Cafés have the opportunity to get in touch with leading companies with hotel and restaurant equipment, technological solutions and online services, as well as companies that specialize in foodservice, construction and decoration. Also, they will discover up close proposals aimed at making their businesses functional and modern as well as solutions for energy upgrading and saving natural resources and costs. The halls are already filled with people, and appointments between visitors and exhibitors have started.  

Innovative solutions and products are showcased in the booths of the 500 exhibitors, giving the opportunity to visitors to modernize, equip or renovate their businesses, and offer upgraded products and services to their customers. 

The official grand opening of the exhibition shall be held at 12:00 by the General Director of New Democracy Mr. Yiannis Smyrlis, under the coordination of journalist Maria Nikoltsiou, in the attendance of many representatives from Greece’s political scene.

New techniques and original ideas shall dominate the special events 

The 18th HORECA, responding to the needs of its visitors for knowledge and expertise will once again host a series of parallel events that aim to inform, as well as provide solutions to the needs of the modern hoteliers and professionals in cafés and restaurants. 

At Hall 3, at the HORECA Lab, leading marketeers, business owners and market executives will present topics related to the comprehensive and effective commercial digital presence of tourism businesses, as well as the organization and management of hotel units and mass catering businesses, with even and effective way. Divided into two major thematic sections (Hotels and Restaurants-Café-Bar) today it will present 8 different talks from 12:00 to 17:00. You can see the program in detail here. 

HORECA in collaboration with Haris Charalambidis and Gastronomy Essentials presents for the second time the gastronomic event Gastronomy Lab. The specially designed and impressive stage in Hall 4 will host world-class names in global and domestic gastronomy, presenting all the new trends and techniques prevailing worldwide. Today, the 1st day, topics such as the world of bread, Corfu Gastronomy and sustainability in kitchens will be highlighted, among others. See the detailed program here. 

On the Coffee Events stage in Hall 1, the Panhellenic Championships of SCA Greece are hosted, with the “battle” starting today with the finals in the Cup Tasters category and the semi-finals of the Brewers Cup. You can see the detailed program here. 

Dynamic competitions by talented bartenders and specialized beer presentations will keep the interest undiminished at the Beer & Spirits stage in Hall 1. Today, the day starts with the presentation of the ZERO WASTE HORECA AWARDS, and speeches on the appropriate beer list according to the style your cafe, ideas for original beer food and Beer cocktails. At the same time, for the first time, at HORECA 2024, there will be the official first presentation of the WORLD OF Beer Festival by FORUM SA, to journalists and executives from the beer market, as part of the Beer & Spirits Show.
