The presence of hoteliers, villa and guesthouse owners was remarkable for the 3rd consecutive day at HORECA 2024, where decision makers found solutions for their needs in equipment, decoration, renovation, and catering of their accommodation regardless of category. At the same time, professionals from the sector of cafeterias and restaurants who visited the exhibition, were informed about new products, saw all top coffee brands and made a number of commercial agreements with the exhibitors. Finally, a great number of catering professionals (owners, procurement managers, F&B managers and chefs) got ideas and saw techniques that can renew the facilities and the level of services of their business.
Special events: source of expertise & excitement
Hundreds of professionals from every corner of Greece attended the parallel events of HORECA and had the chance to hear interesting speeches by executives from the coffee market, mass catering and digital marketing experts.
The topics at HORECA Business Lab in Hall 1 were also very interesting today. The day was dedicated, among other things, to the Farm to Fork initiative, the speech of SEEME: Redefining safety in the use of professional equipment and the importance of sustainability for the survival of hotels. At the Gastronomy Lab stage in Hall 4, top chefs analyzed, among others, topics such as: the evolution of seafood, stews and Mexican cuisine: from street food to fine dining. You can read more here.
HORECA hosted today, in conference room C1, the workshop of the Panhellenic Federation of Restaurants & Related Professions (P.O.E.S.E.), titled “Focusing in the new era”. Access to finance and banking tools focused on catering and leisure, the next tax day and the conundrum of the energy market in the catering and leisure business, were some of the topics discussed by expert speakers and operators. The trends and innovations affecting the catering industry as well as new culinary habits were analyzed today, in conference room C2, as part of the Gastronomy workshop by the Chef’s Club of Greece.
The Brewers Cup Semi-Final also took place today on the Coffee Events stage in Hall 1. Furthemore, the initiative for the creation of the Greek chapter of the International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA) was presented in an excellent panel discussion under the coordination of Eleni Manika, Editorial Director of Snack&Coffee magazine.
The importance, but also the setting up of a proper beer list, the types of beer and the ideal beer and food pairing as well as the rise of taprooms were some of the topics presented today by experts at the Beer & Spirits Show stage in the Hall 1. At the same stage, the Bartenders Association of Greece announced the 28th Panhellenic Champion in the Classic Cocktail After Dinner category. You can see more here
