The long-awaited and most influential exhibition event in Greece begun today and the attendance is remarkable.
HORECA has been welcoming since early in the morning, at the Metropolitan Expo, a great number of professionals from hotel, restaurants, cafés and bars. The most anticipated exhibition event will once again be the premier trade meeting for Tourism and Catering professionals.
Professionals from Hotels, Restaurants and Cafeterias have the opportunity to get in touch with the entire supply chain, leading companies with hotel and restaurant equipment, technological solutions and online services, as well as companies that specialize in construction and renovation. Also, they will discover up close proposals aimed at making their businesses functional and modern as well as solutions for energy upgrading and saving natural resources and costs. The halls are already filled with people, and appointments between visitors and exhibitors have started. Innovative solutions and products are showcased in the booths of the 500 exhibitors, giving the opportunity to visitors to modernize, equip or renovate their businesses, and offer upgraded products and services to their customers.
The official grand opening of the exhibition shall be held at 11:00 by the Minister of Development & Investments, Adonis Georgiadis, under the coordination of journalist Maria Nikoltsiou, in the attendance of many representatives from Greece’s political scene.
New techniques, innovative solutions, and original ideas shall dominate the special events.
The 17th HORECA, responding to the needs of its visitors for knowledge and expertise will once again host a series of parallel events that aim to inform, as well as provide solutions to the needs of the modern hoteliers and professionals in cafés and restaurants.
The exhibition hosts the 6th International Hospitality Forum organized by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels in collaboration with Phocuswright. Global hospitality executives will analyze, today Friday at 11.00 in conference room C1, the trends that shape the next day of hospitality and highlight sustainability as a driver of tourism development. At Hall 1, at HORECA Lab, experienced and renowned HoReCa industry’s executives as well as management and marketing experts will present all the trends and developments for the promotion, management and operation of hotels, coffee businesses and restaurants. Ten speeches will be given from 12:00 to 18:10 in the two major thematic sections (Hotels and Restaurants-Café-Bars). The detailed schedule may be seen here. At the same time, the Panhellenic Cocktail Championships of the Hellenic Bartender Association will take place on the same stage.
HORECA in collaboration with Charis Charalambidis and Gastronomy Essentials presents this year for the first time the gastronomic event Gastronomy Lab. The specially designed and impressive stage at Hall 4 will host great names of global and domestic gastronomy, presenting all the new trends and techniques that are prevalent worldwide today. Today, Day 1, topics such as the aromatic map of Greek flavors, seafood and the integration of Greek tradition into Japanese cuisine will be highlighted, among others and Peskesi restaurant in Heraklion, Crete, will be awarded.
